Re: [iPad] OT: The Darknet and the Future of Content Distribution

Alicia Keyes Girl On Fire

I can buy on iTunes at $19-59

I can buy at The Warehouse (NZ version of Walmart) for $23

I can buy online in NZ, the physical CD for $16 to $22 incl postage.

There is little incentive to buy on iTunes. Given that it is a non physical purchase, just a download, it is very much over priced. There is no manufacturing, materials, distribution, transportation, and the margins attached to distribution, warehousing and retail.

Sell online the download version for say $12

1. Be aggressive and public with anti piracy legal action

2. Make the media providers, provide all media cheaply.

3. Make the ourchase of all media easy for non IT literate users
