I was trying to back out of a space in the garage one day and a lady stopped to let me out. I started backing up (was halfway out) and she drove into me. I got out and asked her why she had done that and she said "I was ON the PHONE!" I said "lady, hang up and drive" and left (fortunately no damage).

Actually for a change, she was quite apologetic.Hubby said the mother day someone stopped their car in the middle of the street to answer the cell phone. When hubby got fed up with waiting he looked the horn and got the look like what was his problem!Yeah, and she probably gave you a dirty look for being there!
E in Long BeachSent from my new mini iPad!It does not seem to matter that they passed a law here in CA making it
illegal to drive and use a cell phone, other than hands free, but it
does not seem to make a difference. I was almost hit by a car in a
parking lot the other day by a lady on her cell phone who was backing
her car up AND talking.....I was a pedestrian.
