My personal driving experience is that when my mind perceives something needs be done, my hands and feet work quickly and accurately in coordination without my need to really give any deliberant thought. However, add in a third factor such as speaking….or even listening intently to someone can noticeably effect my ability to react should I need to.

I wonder whether it may be the three simultaneous motor tasks required by talking (mouth) while manipulating a device (hands) while driving (hands and foot) that together cause the disability. Two's bad enough, I've found. The third may be the final straw.
