Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!!

I had looked at that page but had obviously not read each step closely
enough. Thanks for pointing me to that page again and this time I paid
attention to every detail and now my new iPad is syncing with my
computer and iTunes started right up as soon as the correct driver was
installed.

Thanks again -- I knew someone on this list would be able to help me.
