After spending several hours and attempts trying to get my iPad one back to factory defaults I finally made it happen. I first did the logical by going to GENERAl and RESETS and RESET Erase All Contents and Settings- then went on line and was instructed I should have hooked to iTunes and then selected the ipad reset as before. Today I left the iPad turned off- hooked the ipad to the computer- Itunes came up and after itunes doing a backup I had the option to RESET! Everything took about 30 minutes and then my iPad was back to factory settings. My wife made the iPad hers and is relading all of her apps. Yes, we are pleased that the task was completed. I hope this helps some poor soul having my issues on a simple task... GARY
