Ed is correct.  All you need is a router and a Apple TV.  Apple TV will feed the router and the router will connect to the iPad.

Unfortunately the TV is in a position where one of us can not see the screen.

I have a mini iPad and know how I could connect the TV and iPad by a HDMI cable.

But is there a way I could do this wirelessly?
Could I make a "network" without an internet connection?
It would be easy to hookup a wireless Router... but would I need a mini server or not.

Or, is it even possible via Bluetooth?

I am open for ideas.
