I had trouble for several days and finally now it worked this morning.  I was having to do it individually by going to purchases.  No clue what was the deal but I saw somewhere lots were having this issue last few days.

That happened to me yesterday. I went to the multitasking bar and turned the App Store app off. I then opened it again and everything was back to normal. It's worth a try.
