The Stormfly has Ubuntu on it for the dual boot?

It is an interesting concept.

I purchased a StormFly off of Kickstarter which allows you to boot into Ubuntu from a Mac or most PCs directly to a USB. If a tablet had a USB port and the right type of processor this would work I think.

An Apple version of Surface would be expensive as would an Apple netbook. A dock that combined your existing processing power, memory and screen would be fairly cheap. Complicated, I don't feel so, no less so than setting iTunes to sync to our iDevices as now.
