There's no point in continuing to argue "Yes it will" "No it won't" -- if
the OP's device is hooked to iTunes on the computer it will tell whether or
not *THAT PARTICULAR DEVICE* has an update available (regardless of model #s
etc. or what anyone thinks or has read on *any* blog, news item, etc). If OP
thinks the information is wrong s/he can go to an Apple Store and have
*them* examine the device WRT updates.

That's the same exact model that I have so I know for sure that it can be
upgraded. Apple notified me the upgrade was available when I accessed
iTunes.
