I don't think you can update this iPod Touch to 4.3, Julie. I think 4.2.1 is as far as it can go.
For this model, that is correct.

There never was an 4.3 update for my iPod which is the same exact one. There was, however, an iOS 5 update. I don't know if there ever was a 4.3 update but if there was then it didn't apply to iPods.
