Did you sync the iPad after downloading the updates?
Just updating/downloading in iTunes does not automatically do the
device-sync for you. You have to do a sync after the app is updated in
iTunes.

but the updates are still showing up on my iPad. Guess I will just have to
wait to see if they finally pop up so I can do the updates on my iPad too.
