This is on the main screen and current temperature is shown in a small circle.
When I go to different city, it changes to the city weather.
I do not know if it is live icon.


If it is then being live icon is a function of app rather than O.S.

That is an app not a widget.

Widgets can be seen on a main screen along with other app icons and the launcher.

The ability to see many widgets of different sizes is what makes them widgets vs. Apps
