David, good for you.
I was talking to the two people that make Windows look like a backwards OS because they're stuck in a time warp of organizing photos when we moved past that as late as Windows Vista. Photo tagging has been used for years. No reason to organize pictures by name or location when Windows Live Photo Gallery (now called Windows Photo Gallery) has been available from Microsoft.
Sadly, this is why they don't understand the iOS photo organization... because they can't move out of the photo organization provided by Windows XP.

People think they're locked into the new Win8 "metro" interface --
nothing's further from the truth. A single click and you're on the good
old Windows Desktop with whatever icons you have placed there organized
however you want, with whatever background picture you want.
I've been using Win8 since early January and have no clue what all the
complaints are about it.
