[iPad] Re: handbrake & Apple TV & iPad

One really does not know when the investigation starts or which Torrent site is/will be investigated. You really never know when you open the door, if a summons will be waiting on the other side.

If that happens, you can rest assured that whatever you saved by downloading Spiderman 4 is offset by your attorney fees. And ignorance of the law is no excuse, as we (hopefully) know.

I think protection will be created that will be difficult to circumvent and I know people will find a way to bust protection.

I think this whole thing is a big mess. Content creators are hammered for protecting their work by people that would never tolerate shoplifting or someone taking stuff from their homes; the industry groups are viewed as terrible people, and the public wants free stuff. They do not think it is wrong.

Not sure how this will change. I do think it will get worse before it gets better.

By the way, I just got an email message from a sender that told me to visit the site and DL movies for free. The tag line was "there is nothing the studios can do about it." Or something like that. I'll bet they can, LOL.

I am surprised that Apple has not gone after that infamous place (some of us) we know about where thousands of Apple apps are "free" for the taking. The app links to download sites and the IPA files are quickly installed. Wrong, just wrong. It is like iTunes, but no charge for anything.
