Yes, Intermittent wifi connection for ipad, often cause because of the compatibility of the router,
for ipad 2, at least the wireless router must compatible 802.11 a/b/g/n standard,
if you have G only type router, if often cause a problem....
the preventive solution if you use some 'problematic' router, you can set your ipaddress to static, and set open DNS, it worked for me, and I didnt have to buy new router :)
