So are we talking about deleting an App from your personal computer, or
deleting all reference to Apple having sold it to you from Apple's records
on the iTunes server?
It's hardly surprising that you can't alter the other party's records of the
sale.

Yeah, I thought we'd been talking about removing an app "locally".
Lots of vendors -- dating back to quill-pen & candle days if not before --
have kept records of what their customers buy. That's how they knew (way
back when) to let you know "we got in an item that I think you'll be
interested in" -- whether by phone, letter, or message-boy. It's just way
more organized now. :-)
