Win Tablets print well as do Windows Laptops.

Win8 Tablets are even better but only 1,000+ people at the Build conference got those. Win Tablets run Win8 Metro (a Tablet Optimized UI and apps) and also just run Plain old Win7/XP apps beneath it.

Android tablets have not solved printing yet.

If Apple provides better printing solutions than Win Laptops and the forthcoming inevitable Android printing solutions (Google Moves fast and the 'Kindle Fire' shipping in November will be THE ANDROID TABLET that puts a dent in Apple's iPad market share) they can maintain a #1 for a few years or decade not just the next year or 2.

Win 8 IS A SERIOUS threat to iPad in 18 months the device they had at BUILD and gave people is pretty amazing for corporate types and has mouse support (iPad's lack of mouse support when remoting into my Win Machines is a 'need to fix immediately' thing).

MS has shown they have an extremely viable Windows Tablet now they will ship in late 2012 but are actually shipping no.w iPad and Android now have 18 months to address issues like flash, Printing, etc. that corporate customers and consumers will consider deal breakers if not addressed in long term.

I've been following this thread with great interest. I, too, would love to be able to print to any bluetooth/wifi printer from my iPhone or iPad. For instance, it would be very convenient to be able to bypass a hotel's computer when printing a boarding pass. But I guess that technology doesn't exist yet. Besides, the hotel would probably object to just anyone being able to walk in off the street and use their printers.

Perhaps it would be better for people who are so miffed with Apple to switch to a different tablet with complete wifi printing capability? Voting with your dollars is usually the best way to get a manufacturer's attention. Do such tablets exist? I'm content with my iPad 2 so I haven't done any research. Perhaps one of our experts could chime in?
