Or buy the app Print N Share, which allows wireless printing from the
iPad directly to any wireless printer. You set up a direct 2-party
network (iPad and Printer) from within the Settings, Wireless dialog,
then with Print N Share you can print from many apps' SendTo dialog,
even those which don't allow AirPrint. To print from the widest number
of iPad apps you need to buy some in-app add-ons, but you don't have to
buy a new printer if you already have a wireless one.
I got it to work with my HPDeskJetPortable 470 printer and the HP
wireless dongle, both of which I already had for printing from my notebook.
