It kind of depends on where you want to use your maps and how important they
are to you.
If, for example, you're driving along I-70 in Missouri, and hoping to locate
the exit you need a little this side of Kansas City, I hope you are not
relying on AT&T or Wifi to download the map for you....
No, Jim, I have the 3G option and have yet to find a hole in Verizon's
coverage while I am using the map app that comes with it. But your point
is taken .... the important feature of those recommended apps is that the
maps then reside on the iPad.
