Re: [iPad] Re: Cancelled data plan renewed itself!

alice, i wondered the same thing...the info on the apple site clearly conflicts with info provided by the apple reps...in fact, there's info on the apple site that clearly conflicts with other info on the apple site.

If the VZ iPad can use Sprint as well, why have 3 choices (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint)? Why not AT&T, Verizon/Sprint?

jim,

yes, you do choose a model...but the problem is there are only two models, the 1459 and the 1460...logically, that means there must be an overlap...my understanding is the 1459 only can use at&t but the 1460 can use verison or sprint...that's why i asked this question of two apple reps...here's verbatim from the transcript:
  tim

me: i've been told if i select the ipad4cellular verizon model i can also use it with sprint cellular data service…is that correct?
rep no. 1: Yes, the iPads are not locked.
rep no. 2: The Verizon model would work with Sprint as well.

jim, i'm on the learning curve here...if you have information from the apple site that contradicts what the two reps said to me, please provide the link to it...the gathering of reliable information is a more difficult task than most people realize.

Tim,
Per the Apple web site that is NOT correct. You choose the model for the network you wish to use.
