Re: [iPad] Off topic!! Apple tv

I can often connect my iPhone on my wi-fi from outside my (1942) building &
even a few yards away -- right through the foot-thick brick walls, the
plaster *plus* a layer of drywall inside. But sometimes not from downstairs
around a bunch of room-corners &/or through a concrete floor. My iPad seems
to have less trouble in the basement but I really don't notice it that
much -- I'm usually just reading on it not wi-fi-ing.

Sometimes it's just a matter of luck, I think.

If you have an older house, particularly with plaster and "chicken wire" for
wall support, it can severely affect your WiFi. You're just gonna have to
get a new house! But really, you can get an extended antenna for your
router, or just try moving it to another spot in your house by using a WiFi
radio extender. If you happen to have a huge house, get a few :)
