I'm probably a little more positive about the WWDC keynote than many of the folks on this list. Not having any new hardware introduced didn't really matter because of the software that they spoke about.
I'm starting to see Apple moving iOS into something a bit more usable. Providing a good means of allowing several different programs to work on the same dataset (i.e., process one copy of a photograph with several different programs) is a start. Also, allowing developer (i.e., those not written by Apple) supplied apps to provide services to other apps may provide a way for someone to provide a "finder" program similar to the Finder that OS X provides.
Also, I like the idea of using the same document by both iOS and OS X apps - such allowing Pages from both the iOS and OS X machines edit the same document. Now, all they have to do is bring the iWork'11 suite capability back to the state it was when iWork'09 was the current version. After a good year, I'm still using iWork'09 because, quite frankly, iWork'11 doesn't yet cut the mustard.
It'll be interesting to see how "Swift" contributes to their software development. The last time I wrote significant software (manufacturing process automation), I worked with Windows XP and used Delphi-1; I'll probably download Xcode and try playing with it.

When I read a few posts on Geekzone here, I was very surprised to see a some comments about moving to iOS, here its typically the usual Fandroid and Windows Phone users dominating. The common theme was getting parity with old Android features, and the increasing integration. Opening up iOS a tad without affecting security.Â

Again I am surprised some here see it as underwhelming, and I didn't see it as just for devs, here was a great deal of info, albeit in summary form of OSX and iOS, and I did feel the dev section at the end was enlightening where Apple are going
