Partially that's what I said. First world women put off childbirth while third world ones do not IMO bcuz in third world kids are workers and add to the family income and first world they are an economic drain. We started seeing this decades ago. You can give Africa birth control and better prenatal but it takes culture a while to catch up and stop making babies. Errr at least that was the opinion of my anthropology book and prof in 90. Probably a better theory out now.

With tablets at least more of the not young population is becoming less afraid. We've seen that in this group over the years as the average age if the member or at least contributing ones is greater than it started out and than that of mac and iPhone groups as far as I can tell

And this trend will increase as developing societies start having fewer babies. In fact, the world's population is about to peak and start down - in 2050 or so, as I recall.

True, technological toys are marketed here mainly to the young, but that's only because a large number of people who grew up without them are sort of afraid of them. That will shift dramatically as boomers die off. Then, aging eyes will be in the great majority of Apple customers.

Many societies are growing with youth not age. Possibly most. More being born and more loving longer. Therefore tech is being made for the youth. Yes the population of ppl older than 45 is growing but the youth section is growing faster. At least world wide. I wish I had google to back up my claims with stats.
