Me, too. The Roku remote is just a dumbed-down cable remote: too many buttons.
I have both a Roku and an Apple TV. I think the Apple TV is much better in terms of interface.
Sent from my iPadThe current Apple TV does not have ability to add any Apps - it has what it has, you cannot buy or download any additional free apps.Roku is ahead in terms of having Amazon Prime and many more apps (which they call channels) but if you view Amazon Prime on your Mac you can send it to Apple TV and I assume so from iPad.AirPlay means you can send your Mac screen or quite a few iPad apps to the Apple TV i.e. your living room TV....Sports, HBO, etc. if you have a Cable/Satellite account to verify you have content accessHulu+ (if you have that)BasicallyNetFlix (if you have a NetFlix description)

I'm getting ready to buy a new TV and I want my iPad Air and iPhone 5s to work with it. Salesman said I need the Apple TV. Tell me what I can do with that, please. Listen to me iPod music, view my photographs on TV screen, watch TV shows from an app??? Any insight will be greatly appreciated.
