Beg to differ. In developed markets, there are ever fewer young and ever more old. People just aren't having babies in great numbers, as they used to. This means that the ratio of old-age time lived to young-age time lived is increasing. A much higher percentage of the population have diminished eyesight than have excellent eyesight.
And this trend will increase as developing societies start having fewer babies. In fact, the world's population is about to peak and start down - in 2050 or so, as I recall.
True, technological toys are marketed here mainly to the young, but that's only because a large number of people who grew up without them are sort of afraid of them. That will shift dramatically as boomers die off. Then, aging eyes will be in the great majority of Apple customers.

Many societies are growing with youth not age. Possibly most. More being born and more loving longer. Therefore tech is being made for the youth. Yes the population of ppl older than 45 is growing but the youth section is growing faster. At least world wide. I wish I had google to back up my claims with stats.
