I wanna get photos off iPhone or iPod touch to a USB stick.

I use Photo Transfer App. That is the name of the app too. You pay a couple of bucks for it but all other instances are free. It works via wifi. All devices need to be on the same network. However, to get the photos off photo card to an ipad you need to have a connection kit. You plug it into the ipad then plug the smart card into the connection kit. It will transfer all the photos to the ipad. After that point, you can use the photo transfer app to transfer the photos from the ipad, to your iphone, to your pc, to your ipod. Very eeasy. I find it easier than itunes.

I use an app called "TRANSFER" which I got free from the App Store.  Take a look and it may simplify the problem of transferring photos between deices.
