I'm hoping we won't have to send it in. Are you getting the iPhone S? If so, which color? /\__/\_____ (=-.-=),,__,,_)~~~~ /\„,„/\ ( =';'= ) /*♡♡*\ (.|.|..|.|.) -------Original Message------- Date: 26.09.2013 21:28:08 Subject: Re: [iPad] Updating my iPhone 5 - WiFi Issues/Jim Sounds about right :( ~KLM \\ Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darkness of other people" ~ Carl Jung // Yep! I even tried that, Kris. I think I have tried everything there is to try except for doing something to the router. I talked to the man today who sold me the iPhone, and he wants to see if he can get the WiFi in the store to work on it, and if not, then we'll have to send it in. <sg-0.gif> /\__/\_____ (=-.-=),,__,,_)~~~~ /\„,„/\ ( =';'= ) /*♡♡*\ (.|.|..|.|.) -------Original Message------- Date: 26.09.2013 18:03:10 Subject: Re: [iPad] Updating my iPhone 5 - WiFi Issues/Jim Have you tried no password? ~KLM \\01000100010001010101011001001001010000010100111001010100// Thanks very much, Carl. This is basically just what I have already tried. I appreciate the link, because now I know there's not much more I can do but try going in the room where the router is (although I've never had to do this for any other Apple devices) and try turning the router itself off and on to see if that helps. <sg-0.gif> /\__/\_____ (=-.-=),,__,,_)~~~~ /\„,„/\ ( =';'= ) /*♡♡*\ (.|.|..|.|.) -------Original Message------- Date: 25.09.2013 13:17:34 Subject: Re: [iPad] Updating my iPhone 5 - WiFi Issues/Jim Carlee,
If the wifi works for your husband's phone and both the iPads, then the issue appears to be with your iPhone.
So let's begin there. There has to be either a hardware issue or software issue.
Let's start with software. Is there another wifi network you can connect to like a neighbor, library or cafe? If you successfully connect with another wifi then the problem is most like NOT a hardware issue.
Reset network settings by opening the Settings app and tapping General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including: -
- previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords/ li>
- recently used Bluetooth accessories
- VPN and APN settings
If you cannot connect to any wifi at all, then it is most like a antenna or hardware issue. Go to an Apple store or authorized dealer. Carl W. Brooks @techloyal enter that and then get a message saying it can't find this network. It also can't find the router/modem network. It is really maddening | | |
