Re: [iPad] Mountain Lion updating question

It says "download" in the store, because you have four downloads left.  Up to five devices for no additional charge.  I have a fast connection and it took 1 1/2 hours to complete the process to install.

Mac OS X 10.8 is the 'official' name for Mountain Lion.  As updates are released there will be a .x to indicate the version.

Thanks for the tips.
I stumbled around in the store/purchases & found it, did the d/l -- which
took *way* longer than the guy in the store indicated it would (maybe he has
much faster access), even though I paused after about an hour & took it to
direct-wire-to-router instead of continuing on wifi. Checked progress
occasionally during the evening -- at one point it had paused itself for
some unk reason so restarted it. Finally finished the d/l & did the install.

Nowhere have I seen an info-box about the system that says "Mountain Lion".
"About this Mac" now says OS X 10.8; ML is still listed with a "download"
button in store purchases. However, if I click that a box pops up to say
it's already installed! Weird? or what? And Store is telling me I have no
updates to do
