As a scientist I can tell you this is nonsense. It is very difficult to get a research grant these days. They start off with"triage" and throw half if all applications in the trash. Then they fund a small percent if what is left (and that is the number they give out so it sounds like more).
Unfortunately there are many "pseudo" science sites out there that purport to be true. None is more dangerous than the anti vaccine group. Millions of lives have been saved by vaccines, both animal and human, and the autism risk has been disapprove again and again, and the "damaging your immune system" as well. Showing case studies is NOT proof. Without good controls a case study means nothing. In or lab we always say that if a new experiment works the first time then our controls must not be rigorous enough.
It is probably unnecessary to do it yearly, and you can have titers done. My rabies vaccine (after a series) is still good after 3 years according to my titer.
I am sure I should have stayed out of this but hard to do. Same people listen to crazy talk radio and watch Fox news :)
It's hard to see people so duped, I know it's not their fault wish I could help but it's the nature of the thing that this won't help.
I knew there would be this nonsense, but, I opened my mouth in the hopes somone might get some benefit and do some research and help their animals. Laugh all you want. Believe the AVA and the fda..that's what they love. But, surely at least one person here will do the research and not believe the spin.The health and well being of animals and people has gone to hell over the last 50 -60 years. The US used to be #1 in health and many other things. That was a long time ago. Poisonous food, water and air is the norm. Most doctors and vets don't have a clue but give drugs and watch their patients suffer from chronic disease and eventually die. So sad. Diabetes is an epidemic..in cats too! Feed "cat" food? Cooked grains to an obligate carnivore? Really? No wonder kidney disease and diabetes are running rampant.Everybody needs to do what they believe is right.Science is pretty much a paid for joke today. What do you want the research to prove?
