AW: [iPad] Books for Kindle readable on iPad?

Alice, I don't think you can actually read Kindle books using the iBooks reader (I don't think they will open in iBooks, but I could be wrong), but all you have to do is get the Kindle app from the Apple store, and viola, you have a Kindle reader on your iPad.  I have read Kindle books on all three of my iPads, and also my iPhones for a couple of years, esp. because the Kindle reader wasn't available in Switzerland.  As of the end of June, 2012, a Swiss online store is now selling the Kindle readers, so I got a Kindle Touch and a Kindle Fire and love both of them.  (But I still read Kindle books on my Apple devices some of the time.)

Terry, I didn't know I could read Kindle books through iBooks. That's neat.

I'd like to order a book in the Kindle format that isn't offered in any iPad friendly way that I know about.
Can I read a Kindle version on my iPad? Is it a simple PDF book? What would I need to do so?
I've never tried this so maybe someone has here Thanks.
