I had the Otterbox for a while, it is a hard case and really protects
the iPad if it is dropped. I think it is for applications where the iPad
might be used outdoors in environments where it could be subjected to
falls etc. I found it too heavy For the causal user though, it bothered
my arm to hold it for very long.
