Re: [iPad] Re: Missing "View account" button

That is the problem...at the moment, he doesn't have a wireless network at home, and only an older Mac that can't be upgraded enough to run the latest version of iTunes.

When he bought the iPad 6 months ago, he didn't realize what these limitations would mean.  He is now in the market for a new Mac.

He has an appt at the genius bar on Thursday, so will get it figured out then.

We took it to Best Buy where we bought it and the Geek Squad was stumped. They noticed he hadn't updated his software to the 5.1 version yet, so they did that in the store and it fixed the problem. The view account was back.

Thanks, Patty.  You may have hit it...he may not have been able to update to the lastest version, because his MAC is really old and not capable if being updated to a current version of IOS.  He is going to be getting a new computer, though.  Maybe he can update "through the cloud".

If he has 5.0, he can definitelt upgrade to 5.1 over the air.
If he has 4.x, he first has to upgrade to 5.x through a wired connection to a computer with iTunes.
