I crabbed at a s/w company about the timing of a purchase & the price of the
"upgrade offer" & they sent me an upgrade-key. I hadn't expected anything
but maybe a "sorry" & was really just venting but maybe I just got lucky.

I still haven't figured out how to work my Ori iPad stand into the popcorn &
movie standup position. The pictures seem to want me to bend it in a way
that...it don't go. Gonna try the video again & maybe something'll click in
my head.

Although JOBY may not be able to do anything for your case, *I* would
actually email them and tell them about the adapters not fitting. They may
do a subtle revision on their cases to amend this problem. or, they may even
support you and offer a new case if you want. No harm at ALL in asking.
