> Apple should make iPad print on many many many printers that people already have.
I don't happen to think that my iPad should automatically be able to print on any random printer that's in the same building as it is.
I want it to be able to print on MY printers, and if it is in the same building as MY printers, it is in the same building as MY computer. And it therefore prints on MY printers just fine, via the Printopia app on MY computer.
And no, there is nothing special or pre-selected about these printers. Just a random, several-year-old Lexmark all-in-one inkjet, and a more recent Brother monochrome laser.
> I am not interested in debates, at least the way you "debate", until you get more objective and master critical thinking and general semantics. Too many times you just say many things on a thread you already said and add a lot of 'noise' to a thread where people are looking for answers.
Personal attacks are deprecated here.
If, on the other hand, you simply don't like snide, then I'm with Kris -- you should consider a different forum, because snide will always be with us.
> If iPads are a niche (and they are not) then Photon Browser or other apps could end up out of business, which would do no one any good. A rising tide raises all boats.
It may be a LARGE niche, like "people who use boats", but the rising tide has little effect on people in, say, Colorado.
It's still a niche, just as "open-plains carnivore" is a niche. Lots of predators in that one, but still a niche.
