Pages has a very stupid syncing method, at least in my opinion. In
iTunes, if I want a document synced to Pages, I go the David's iPad
page, then click on Apps, then scroll down to where I normally transfer
documents back and forth, and when I highlight any other app and click
the Add button and navigate to the folder where the file is and click on
the file (or files) it (they) actually get loaded into the app with no
further effort on my part. With Pages, I follow the same procedure but
once in Pages on the iPad I have to go and select the document and
complete the transfer.

To transfer the documents from iPad to computer, you have to set the
document to sync in Pages, but you also have to use iTunes and then
click David's iPad (you would obviously click the link for your iPad)
and then click Apps and then scroll down and then highlight the Pages
app in the list of the apps to transfer documents between and then you
highlight the file in Pages you want saved to your computer and then you
click the "Save" button.

Way too complicated compared to any/all other apps that I've worked
with, in my opinion.

You may well be missing that extra step in the process.
