I set one email for my notes and in the iphone & ipad and the g-mail automatic sync and i don't work mach else.

I am new to iPad. I have a slight concern. If I put something in notes or calendar on my iPhone. Then sync iPhone and iPad the notes go to iPad. But if I put them on iPad first then sync them both they don't transfer. Does anyone know why this is? Thanks in advance
