Re: [iPad] Re: Too many printer apps available... which to choose?

Can Apple do anything wrong? So us assuming we should be able to print from most printers is our foolishness.

I like iPads but everything they and Jobs do is not perfect.

I like Windows and Androids nor is everything they do perfect.

Your 'dominant sales' argument that they rule Tablets does not imply perfection, just that they are better than most. It does not excuse an inability to print that Windows and Macs and Linux solved. There are ways to solve it and Apple has good engineers that can be prodded to action by customers if people say they need it, but pretending the user's needs are an 'erroneous assumption' is not ok, Users have a reasonable right to expect to print.

If I want to print, a win7 laptop or Tablet still prints on thousands of devices better than iPad and Android unfortunately.

Apple needs to more aggressively address printing for their user's sakes. I am lucky I do my word processing on Zoho.com when on my iPad then pull up my Zoho docs on a Win machine to print them. Making everyone that wants to print limit themselves to a dozen printers when people own thousands of models that Windows (and Mac and Linux to a lesser extent) have solved the issue of printing on is not something that shows brilliance on their part.

Since Numbers and many non cloud apps exist and not every iPad user owns a PC or Mac hopefully they will address printing on many devices without a Win machine or Mac machine in the middle at some point.

Your assumption was the problem. Or. That apple was too forward thinking again. In 18 months when we all standardize on an hp like printing thing it will all not matter....
