[iPad] Can iCal be on 2 MacBooks + iPad?

 

I have a personal MacBook and iPad 2; they both have my iCal.  Now I have a brand new MacBook Pro for work & want the iCal on that device, too.  I'm getting the impression that I can't have the iCal on both the work MacBook and the personal MacBook.  Is that right?  (I tried to use iTunes to sync the iPad's iCal to the new MacBook.  Note:  I don't want the music, etc. on the work MacBook--I just want the iCal.)  Help?
