Understood. Sort of related in a way, there is talk here in NZ of being aRepublic, Australia more so.. Different types of Govt have different types of restrictions, such as your Constitution. Protecting the people from the Govt is not what I am familiar with as a principle. No doubt that affects my posts here on US topics.

I do not know.

Courts have already ruled that the 1st Amendment of the US Constitution, which limits the government's ability to LIMIT speech by individuals and corporations, also limits the government's ability to COMPEL speech.

AND have ruled that computer programming — code — IS "speech" for this purpose.

On the other hand, a main purpose of the Constitution is to protect the people from the government, not vice versa.
