All Im saying is that its good PR to do free things, people like that. Where I work we do that too. We all have one paid volunteer day that we can use for helping worthy causes. We do other charity work as well. Every one is a winner.

Then what do you say specifically to Tim cooks comments that were posted here about the things that Apple does without concern to profit or ROI?

Kris, Apple is a publicly traded corporation.  It's sole reason for being is to make money.

If its CEO takes an apparently non-business public position, you can be sure it's calculated to benefit the bottom line.

When Steve Jobs was alive and heading up the corporation, his cranky charisma often obscured that fact, but it was very much in play, nonetheless.
