I just purchased the new iPad Pro 9.7, an upgrade from my 4 year old iPad 3. The Pro is so much faster, smaller and lighter! Definitely worth the purchase.
I am now looking for a new case that is as close to the old Apple Smart Case I originally had. Unfortunately Apple no longer makes an affordable one piece case like that and the two sections they sell to make a whole case are unbelievably expensive.
What I am looking for is a case with either a folio or 3 fold style screen cover front. But most importantly, the section that covers the back (metal part) of the iPad be made of silicone or flexible material that will afford some cushion type protection if the iPad is dropped. To me the hard shell backs, which are found on almost all of the cases available right now, would not help absorb the force of a fall and its possible hard plastic could cause friction damage on the back surface of the iPad, as there is no mention of any soft fiber liner between the hard plastic and the metal.
Light weight as possible is important.
Also something other than black as the color choice.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Barbara
