Tap-and-hold on these, and nothing happens.
They are Favorites, and they are actually defined, and located, in Bookmarks.
Tap on the Bookmarks icon, tap on Bookmarks, tap on Favorites, and you get the list of them.
In that list, you can select individual entries, swipe them leftwards, and tap on Delete.
