Re: [iPad] repairing water damage iphone

Thanks, I'll try the alcohol.  Our Radio Shack closed down a few months ago.
I bought a water proof case for the new (old) one but now I'm worried that it might hold too much heat in while it is charging.
Thanks for the advice.

I've used rubbing alcohol on printed circuits with good results.  Radio Shack also has a great cleaner but I've forgotten what it's called, they will know.  The following place sells rubber plugs for the phones connections.

Is anyone doing their own work on their iphone?  If so, what are you using to clean the inner parts?  Non of my water exposure spots show that they have been wet however there is a little discoloration on the little hookup to the battery.  I'm going to put a new battery in and I want to do some general clean up while I have the back off but not sure what to use.  Warranty is out so can't void that.
Appreciate any advice.
