I chose to back up the iPad to the cloud and to my computer but I don't know where on the computer that the backup ended up.

Presumably, you did those backups from within iTunes.
Is there a reason that you need to know in which directory on what hard drive iTunes placed that backup?
Or is it really only necessary for *iTunes* to know where it is?
