It's backed up in iTunes. You can also install iCloud on your computer if you want.

My daughter, who has an iPhone, helped me, TNX for your reply.
I still don't exactly what I am doing, I chose to back up the iPad to the cloud anf to my computer but I don't know where on the computer that the backup ended up.
