I got it from BestBuy - I just looked it up. It is a D-Link - Xtreme N Wireless-N Gigabit Router and costs $119. My Rewards certificate paid for about half.I second this recommendation. It's the D-Link DIR-655 Extreme N Gigabit Wireless Router (Link to Amazon for $79). I love the thing and it's been great for my 2 Macs, 4 PCs, 2 TiVos, 2 XBox 360s, Roku, iPad, iPhones, Blu-Ray player. Lots (too many) devices, but the router works great, and as Celeste mentioned, it's very flexible and feature-rich for those that want to customize functionality.Jim H.

Re: [iPad] Re: Speaking of routers
Today I decided to get the airport extreme. I have connected it... So much for the easy connect. I cannot connect to the Internet. :(. I did everything the instructions said, but my router is only showing local and no Internet. What the hell am I doing wrong?

This was after confirming good WAP & router operation with my MacBook, iPod Touch & T60 laptop.

LOL!!! You just have no idea of the trouble my cat gets me into with my
laptop, bj! Once when it was new and I wasn't familiar with a laptop she
turned off the touchpad and I couldn't even use it, had to go to the store
for help! It took the computer expert quite a while how to figure it out,
which made me feel a bit less stupid. At that time I didn't even know you
could de-activate the touchpad!

Part of what people are objecting to is the stealth-approach FB is taking --
and has taken several times in the not-so-recent past. One of these
"upgrades" ("improving the user experience") they may find they really have
gone too far.

Perhaps this is something responsible people should get use to. Occasionally
reading a web site/service TOS. They do change as it should be. We seem to
want everything for free and how dare they/them/those people try to screw us
with an unfair TOS. Fact is a company does have the right to change their
terms of service.
Get use to it folks, after all, you agreed to it.

CrapTV is in the eye of the beholder.
I'm sure you watch some version of crap too, just maybe not the same crap as
someone else.

High performance
AirPort Extreme operates in the 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands simultaneously and offers incredible performance and range for all your Wi-Fi devices.

If this is in your home I would suggest a dual band unit. It has better coverage and is less effected by neighborhood/ conflicting routers.
They are a bit more expensive.
