It is so awkward using the camera with the IPad 2 that I feel I am only going to use it for video chatting.
I have digicams that make video and still photography so much better and easier than shooting with the IPad.
The resolution of the still images from the IPad is awful and I can only imagine that adding telephoto capability to the video will severely degrade those images.
Yes, such an accessory might be fun to play with, but as a serious tool, I wouldn't bother.

I bought one for a gift that hasn't been opened yet. It attaches to a
case that goes with the iphone. If someone were to develop a case for
the ipad with a connection for the lens, it should work. hth, dennis
