I was told to use a 30 pin adaptor/HDMI cable with the ipad connected to the TV HDMI outlet.  Am not using Airplay.  Any suggestions. 
Audio works on TV but no video.

I don't have hob so I can't check but all the video apps I have played with work great with AirPlay from my iPhone and ipad both.
