It is a little x right at the upper right corner of the suggested word.  I think it's there on both iPads, but I might be wrong and can't check.  But basically you can just click on that word to get rid of it.  I find this a bit confusing, and I think it would cause a lot less grief if you had to click on it when you wanted it rather than when you didn't.   My automatic response is to click on the thing I want, so it has taken me forever to get used to clicking on something I don't want!  They think most of their suggestions will be wanted by us!  The funniest one so far is Nancy being changed to manchu!!!   LOL

I don't recall seeing the "x" everyone is referring to in auto correction, is it an ipad2 thing or is it a setting I am missing?
