I'd favour Internet TV . By all accounts it is inflexible as most brands don't drive this function and it won't be as update able or as capable to Add apps. But I expect the common ones will be there which is more convenient than a hockey puck. For me I'd have both

I'd avoid internet TVs, thinking that internet's done better by one of the hocky pucks. Personal preference. Seem to remember that Best Buy thot Sharp Aquos (?) were the only Sharps worth looking at.--david@luda.netpad4The last two TVs that I have purchased have been ProScan and I have been very pleased with them.
I'd say that Internet connectivity could be interesting as that means maybe Netflix or pandora may be pre installed. Or Plex.
